We want to celebrate the achievements of our mastermind members. The story below is Emily’s experience achieving a major milestone in her business.

Lauren saw my work on Instagram after a former student of hers used me for her wedding stationery, and I was honored to be the first vendor she mentioned to her wedding planner – even before they had booked a venue! I worked closely with the wedding planner, Aimee Griffin of A. Griffin Events, to give Lauren and Mohammed the perfect custom stationery for their destination DC wedding. The photographer, Elizabeth Fogarty, submitted the photos for Style Me Pretty, so I didn’t have much to do with that part of the process, but I was thrilled to be a part of a team of really incredible vendors.
What did you learn during the process?
This was a great example of the power of Instagram! But also about the power of cultivating relationships with other vendors, especially wedding planners, so that you can be a central part of the wedding. My stationery images were really featured here because the planner took the time to set my stationery aside for the photographer to style and photograph it thoughtfully.the power of cultivating relationships, especially with wedding planners - @emilyroseink Click To Tweet
What advice would you give to someone else trying to accomplish the same Milestone?
Really focus on who your ideal client is, and put your energy towards cultivating relationships that will bring attention to the work you do for those clients!
How did you choose to celebrate your Milestone once you achieved it?
After being featured in Style Me Pretty, I wrote a post!
Lauren and Mohammed’s Wedding was featured on the front page of @stylemepretty yesterday, and if you head over there to check out the whole gallery, you’ll understand why. – Because it was a destination wedding for many of the guests, Lauren and Mo wanted to highlight the wedding venue and location, so I created custom illustrations of @meridianhouse and the DC skyline from the bike path where Lauren and Mo like to run together. We also used a watercolor illustration of the unique trees in the back courtyard of Meridian House for the RSVP, keeping the rest of the suite simple to complement their clean, classic design aesthetic. @agriffinevents was an amazing wedding planner, acting as the go-between for all the design to accommodate L+M’s busy schedules, and @lizfogarty killed it with these gorgeous stationery shots! Congratulations Emily on your feature!! We are thrilled for you!
