5 Steps for Productive CoWorking
Are you attending a local coworking event? We want to make sure you get the most of your time. Here are five steps to help you make your time productive.
Step #1: Know what type of coworking event it will be. Will it be more collaborative or individual?
- If it is collaborative, work on a project that you need feedback on.
- If it is individual, work on a task that you tend to procrastinate on if you are working at home. Then have a coworking friend hold you accountable for finishing it during the time you are at the event.
Step #2: Make sure you have everything you need before you sit down. The fewer disruptions the better. Grab your coffee or water then get started!
Step #3: Introduce yourself to fellow attendees. Ask what they are working on and if they need help. Share what you are working on. Decide when you want to check in whether an hour into the coworking session or at the end.
Step #4: Check in with fellow attendees at a previously designated time.
Step #5: Before you leave exchange business cards with new business women you have not met. When you get back to your office, send an email to follow-up and share any additional resources or advice related to their project. This helps strengthen the new connection.
